A to Z Home's Cool sponsors several Yahoo Groups and a Chat.
Here are some brief descriptions so you can see which is right
for you.
A2Z Home's Cool Chat
Many of your favorite hosts from Homefront Hall on AOL have come
over to host in our new chat room. Works with all browsers and
systems, even some cell phones! No registration or downloads needed. See schedule here.
A2Zhomeschool
Most popular of the groups. This is a discussion group for those
currently homeschooling or looking into it. Its members come
from all over the world and from all walks of life. Some are
religious and some are not, but we all care for our kids deeply.
We'll do our best to answer your homeschool questions and concerns
here. Posts and responses go to the whole group.
Membership cards now available in .doc
and .rtf
format. More information about this Yahoo Group.
A2Z Classifieds
Look for and sell or give away your gently used homeschool curriculum
and educational materials, children's books or "how to homeschool"
books here. Toys, games, science, sports and camping equipment
also okay. No household or personal items. Anyone may read and
reply. Only posters must join. Replies go to the person posting.
Suggested delivery method: "No Mail."... unless you
are watching for some special product to become available.
A2Z Mentor Connection
This group is for those offering educational opportunities to
homeschoolers in a local area. This may include special programs, tutoring, events
and such, and for those looking for such mentoring opportunities.
Anyone may read and reply. Only posters must join. Replies go
to the person posting. Posts must include your location in the
subject line. Suggested delivery method: "No Mail."
Responses to your own post will come to your email anyway. More information about this Yahoo Group.
A2Z News
An occassional newsletter in which I will pass along relevant homeschooling information to those who enjoy the A to Z Home's Cool Homeschooling Web Site. There will be homeschooling tips lifted from email responses, announcements of chat times, and occassional offers I think many of you might want to know about. At this time I'm not sure how often I'll publish this newsletter. But I promise you that you'll always find something worth your while to take a look inside.
Homeschool Webmasters
Get support for creating and marketing your homeschool website,
email list, message board or online storefront. Most members
are homeschool parents running anything from association sites,
mega homeschool sites, support group sites, to homeschool product
stores. Often homeschool teens join the group to get help with
their sites. Discussion can get technical. Object is to help
us all build the best education sites on the internet! Use "individual
emails" when you have a pressing question. "No mail"
fine most of the time. Come in when you want to learn any new
tricks or help out. Membership cards now available in .doc
and .rtf
format.
Retired Home Educators
You've homeschooled for years, and your last child has left for
college or career or parenthood. You aren't quite sure where
you fit in to the homeschool community now, but you know you
miss it. Maybe you continue to help families in some way. You
are looking for ways to fill your empty nest with some new joys.
Perhaps you are taking up new hobbies or traveling more. Come
join this relaxed group of mature, retired homeschool moms and
dads.
