River City Field Trips
This group is for all homeschoolers in Louisville, Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and surrounding areas that wish to join other homeschoolers on a field trip.

Art Museums

Richmond Art Museum
Homeschoolers might be interested in an educational program we do every year for students in grades K through 3.  The program is called "Art Is..." and it introduces students to the art and culture of another country through a short presentation followed by a variety of hands on activities.  This year, "Art Is... Russia" and the program will run from February 7 - March 31, 2006. 350 Hub Etchison Parkway, (765) 966-0256.

The Lincoln Museum
6/20/08 - The Lincoln Museum in Fort Wayne will close its doors today after 77 years. The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette reports the charitable arm of Lincoln Financial Group, the Lincoln Financial Foundation, operates the museum and blames poor attendance and lack of visibility for closing. Museum employees and visitors hopes the artifacts and displays can remain in Indiana.

Rural Life

Indiana Pure Maple Syrup/Annual Maple Syrup Festival
The festival is designed for families and children. There is no admittance or parking charge. Most of the activities are free and a few of them have a modest charge of 25 - 50 cents to cover our expenses. The festival is held on the last weekend in February and the first wekkend in March each year. This is a homeschool family-run business. 321 N. Garrison Hollow Rd., Salem, Indiana. (812) 967 - 4491

Evansville Museum of Arts & Science

Imagination Station By ASSET

Natural History, Zoos

Adventure Indiana
Bring your family to cave, canoe, and enjoy all the wonderful things we have to offer: Marengo Cave, Cave Country Canoes, and Wyandotte Caves.

Black Pine Animal Park
A non-profit exotic animal sanctuary. We provide permanent refuge to exotic animals in need, including retired performing animals and former "pets".  Our population includes 14 big cats,  and many small cats, bears, primates, birds, reptiles and more, numbering over 85 in all. St. Joseph County Parks
We have recently reworked our existing outdoor and environmental education programs in order to make them more relevant and helpful to area home school families. We believe that we will be able to provide a valuable resource to the local home school community.
