A baby chick has hatched at the Bald Eagle nest in Milpitas, California! Join SFBBO citizen scientists Chuck Coston and Carole Hutchinson for a viewing through spotting scopes and learn more about these majestic birds. Free. The nest is near Curtner Elementary School in Milpitas. Contact for info.
Editor’s note: they have incorrect information. The TWO bald eagle chicks hatched weeks ago, and are close to being fledglings and leaving their nest. They are now HUGE!.
The nest is in a grove of redwood trees not just near but ON Curtner School property, just out in front by the street.
Local photographers have been getting great images of the bald eagles on the Facebook Group, Our Milpitas Eagles.
