Halloween/Fall Fests

If you have a community-wide October Halloween or Fall Fest Celebration that you’d like to publicize here, please email your Go Milpitas guide, Ann Zeise. All events that will welcome most Milpitans and are located in the city or in nearby Silicon Valley cities may list their event. Please specify if for adults, youth, or families with small children. Include web site URL, email or phone number for more information.

I am finished this page with the 2018 events, but would be happy to add more!.

Haunted Houses

Due to my lack of mobility, I will be lightly  decorating my front yard for Halloween at the east end of Grand Teton Dr. this year. It will still be fun for the younger set.

Past well-decorated houses in Milpitas

There is also a large free Haunted House at 593 Printy that collects donations for the American Diabetes Society.

Check out the house at 1601 Yellowstone Ave. Across from Rancho, near entrance to Murphy Park.

Check out the house at 1841 Crater Lake which is decked out for Halloween.

Haunted Places

These places in Milpitas may really be haunted! Visit at your own risk.

Ed Levin Park Cemetery
The cemetery is now closed, but even in the daytime, electronics will shut off, start on own, loud moans can be heard, flashes of lights and car problems. Very cold in spots.

Empty Lot next to Arco on Abbott
Whole area is large, ancient burial ground for maybe hundreds of people who all died suddenly and were stacked like cordwood in this make-shift cemetery. Did they die from an epidemic or attack? No one knows. The City inspectors have some information about this, as they prevent further development in that area.

River’s Edge
In 1981 a Milpitas High School student killed his girlfriend, then brought his buddies to see the body. No one told the cops. We’d prefer to forget this crime, but it was made into a movie in 1987. Our “river” here being but that small creek that runs along side of Calaveras Blvd. The film was made up on the American River.
